Not OK anymore

Now I'm back in OK after 10 years on the left coast, but I'm still not 'OK'...we'll see how life in the middle of the country treats us. Keep checking for life updates and musings...

The Joys of Teething

We've always heard about the teething stories from other parents, and now we are living in one. Caleb cut his first two teeth three weeks ago. Two weeks before that he was sleeping soundly through the night. However, with teething came sleepless nights, taking us back to the newborn sleep schedule...3 hours a time was good. His bottom two teeth came in and then he began sleeping better. This past Monday, he slept through the night again! It feels so good to get a full nights sleep. Well, we believe he is beginning to cut the top teeth now and the past two nights he is waking up every 2-3 hours. NOT FUN!

The picture is cute one of him working on a frozen bagel. We got this idea from my previous boss at Pepperdine, who implemented this on his three boys! It works pretty well, other than being messy when it thaws out. Caleb definitely likes it better than any teething toy we have. Other than not sleeping things are going well. Tara and I both battled a cold the past two weeks, and Caleb has a little bit of it now, but he is still great during the day :)

Our friends Scott and Cambra come in this weekend to visit Scott's brother Chuck and will be bringing their 9 monther Will, who is probably 4 ft and 100 pounds by now! Go here to see pics of him: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cambrascott/265204555/. Speaking of pics, new ones are up on our album on the left.

6 Months Old

On Friday, October 6, 2007 Caleb turned 6 months old (on the birthday of his aunt Lacy, btw). At his doctors visit, he was 16 lbs 12 ozs, and 28 inches tall! Everything checked out great! He is eating baby foods now regularly. He cut his second tooth last week (both on the bottom) and I think he is working on his top two now (based on the buckets of drool and faint whimpers from time to time).

He still loves being outside! It is the miracle cure whenever all else fails. He doesn't care for watching people or animals when trees are around. He is fascinated by them! Make sure to check the photo album on the left. New pics were put up last week and more will be up tonight!
